If you know of any WEBELOS that want to be part of this neat adventure, then invite them NOW. We will have special programs set up for our WEBELOS. They will get to see the fun and excitement that Boy Scouts have!

Preliminary Boy Scout-Venturer Activities

Buckskin Games: a program area that is involved in a set
of competitive activities that men participated in during the early 19th
century. The games feature instruction in and  firing of muzzle-loading
guns, a tomahawk  throw, a knife throw, a bucking bronco event, bullwhip
cracking, and branding.

Conservation: Nature program area: a program area that is involved
with nature and conservation related topics which include "Leave No
Trace" Philosophy  .

Physical Fitness: a program area that is involved with
physical skill sets, races, mountain bike racing, and Iron man course

Exhibits: static and interactive exhibits which exhibit the
theme of  the History of The Boy Scouts of America.

Skill-O-Rama: a program area that is involved with the
"show and  do" and the "hands on" of Boy Scout skills both old and new.
This includes cooking, pioneering, semaphore, first aid, backpacking,
and camping.

Service to Community: a program area that is involved with
the services that are involved with the betterment of the community.
Involved with this area are members of the Salvation Army, Red Cross,
AmeriCorps, and Community of Emergency Response Teams (CERT).

Disability Awareness: a program area that is involved with
disabilities of the 5 senses; sight, hearing, smelling, touch, and
taste.

Knife Throwing, Tomahawk Throw, Wheelchair sports, Bullwhip cracking, Crosman rifle,  Ultimate Frisbee,  Barrel Game, Climbing Walls, Orienteering, Signaling, Fireman’s Rodeo, CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams), Virtual Army Experience, Archery,  wheel chair Olympics, New York City parks commission, Kessler Rehab Institute, muzzle-loading guns, 2nd Texas Calvary, Throwing Stick, Bull whip cracking, Iron man course (all levels!), Bocce Ball, Horseshoes, Turkey Shoot, Mountain Boarding, Sky Hawks and Jackals baseball teams, Old time scouting exhibit, Jersey Central Railroad Historical Society, Robotics, Sussex Ham Radio Club, Postmaster of USPS, Springfield Office of Emergency Management, NJ Transit Police Operation Lifesaver, cooking demos, pioneering, Canoeing/Kayaking, Good Turn of America, Salvation Army, Marine Corps, Ultimate Frisbee, Picatinny Arsenal Demos, US Marine Corp, NJ National Guard HumVees, Tryrolean Traverse, Row boating, Army Tank, baseball throw, fly bys of the Civil Air Patrol-US Coast Guard-Marine Corp-Forest Fire Service, Conservation-Nature, Augusta Post Office,  Appalachian Mountain Club, Rappeling, Fly Fishing, Red Cross, State Police K9 Units

Something to do after you set up your camp Friday night:

Go to the movies! Friday night we will be featuring a movie and some of our program areas will be open.

Night Show
Laser Light Show by PAWN LLC
Campfire, music, skits, and sing-a-longs.

Contests:

PHOTO: This will involve Scouts only photos. Details are being put together.

COOKING: Sponsored by the Eagle Scout association. We will have chefs from local hotels and restaurants on staff that are Eagle Scouts.
