In February 2010, the Boy Scouts of America will celebrate 100 years as an organization. Founded as an outlet to prepare every eligible youth in America to become a participating citizen and leader, BSA has more than fulfilled its mission. Today, as we celebrate our first 100 years, we not on only reflect on our rich history, but lay the foundation for a strong future, as well.

SCOUT EXPO 2010!new

Calling all CUB SCOUTS, BOY SCOUTS, VENTURERS AND EXPLORERS....

Join us for Scout Expo 2010 - April 24, 2010

WHAT IS A SCOUT EXPO? Scout Expo is an interactive expo of hundreds of Scouting Activities put on for Scouts by Scouts! It's an exposition of Scout Skills starring your Unit! Every imaginable Scouting activity will be on display for the day. Tradeshow style booths will be set up and Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers and Explorers are all encouraged to showcase their best skills.

SCOUT EXPO 2010 will be held at three locations on the same day

SUSSEX COUNTY - at the Sussex County Fairgrounds

MORRIS COUNTY - at the Morristown Armory

UNION, SOMERSET and MIDDLESEX COUNTIES - at the Garden State Exhibit Center

A Year of Celebration

A Century of Making a Difference

A Year of Celebration. A Century of Making a Difference is a series of awards developed to explore the values of leadership, character, achievement, community service and the outdoors as we celebrate a century of living by the Scout Law. Each Year of Celebration award recognizes Scouts and Adult Leaders who demonstrate dedication to these values.

These awards will seek to engage each participant to become involved in Scouting activities based on each of the five values. (Character, Leadership, Service, Outdoors and Achievement)They will be available to Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, as well as respective leaders in the programs. Scouting Alumni are also encouraged to A Year of Celebration awards and will be eligible to receive the patches.

The program will begin in September 2009 and run through December 2010
